A subgenre of TGTF, twinning is a type of transformation/TF involving one person being transformed into a copy of someone. This type of TF dates back to the late 2000s as a subgenre of TF, though it was probably popular prior to there being a name for it

"They have an episode of Miraculous Ladybug with a villain that twins people into herself!"

"Do you even KNOW how hard it is to find male twinning? I'm stuck with 3 stories, 2 drawings, the Matrix trilogy, and that one Doctor Who epsiode!"
