Decent, medium-sized ski resort in southern Vermont. Trails are not terribly difficult, but has some nice cruising terrain. Vertical drop is mediocre for Vermont but biggest in southern green mountains.
Fake developer village at bottom of mountain easily impresses Mcmansion dwellers but otherwise has no real town or population center nearby. Probably ranks second in contrived, commercial atmosphere after Killington. Nice scenic drive to/from resort.

Get the Stratton Mountainmug. the most elite ski resort on the east coast best known for its guaranteed good snow conditions(due to the best snow making system in the country) and their amazing lift service(also best in the country). although the terrain isn't as challenging as say, Stowe, it can please anyone from novice skiing to expert skiing. beware though, this is one of the priciest mountains in the country. a one day weekend pass goes for about 75 dollars. if you are preppy and rich stratton is the only choice so if you ski at okemo, killington, sugarbush, and especially mt. blow you are at the wrong place
Good thing we are buying a house at Stratton Mountain. Daddy said that if we didn't the people at the club would think that we were poor.
