Describes an especially (espezially) shitty person. Specifically when their shitty behaviour is related to their fragile ego.
Origin:
Steve Huffman (username "spez"), the CEO of Reddit, decided, in 2023, to sell out the website to advertisers and investors, in effect destroying communities for hundreds of thousands, maybe even millions of people. In response to protest on the site, Huffman implemented measures such as site-wide filtering of comments criticising him, coercion / not-so-subtle threatening of moderators etc.
