freedom spacing

Freedom spacing is the practice of inserting only one space after a period in typed text. It is the alternative to "French spacing," a system in which periods are followed by two spaces.

Billy, use freedom spacing in your reports from now on. Only the ignorant or snobby use French spacing nowadays.
