A shitstate is a state dominated by power-tripping control freak misogynists who create abortion bans, anti-abortion laws, anti-contraception laws, and anti-transgender laws. Such a state might pass or attempt to pass other bigoted, fascist laws, such as attempting to make it illegal for teachers to teach Black history or queer studies and/or practice voter suppression.
Wow, did you see the news about the governor of Florida making it illegal for schools to have books about Black history or LGBTQIA+ perspectives? That sure is a shitstate!
