Sinophile

A person interested in China and Chinese people. They usually mean no harm and are the complete opposite of Sinoboo's. They respect the Chinese culture and tries their best to educate themselves in matters that revolve around the Sino-world.

What DOES Make You A Sinophile:

– Simply liking Chinese media aka cmedia (cpop, cdrama, donghua, cnovel, manhua, c-gaming, etc.)

– Studying the Chinese language (whether it's Mandarin, Cantonese, Hakka, etc.)
– Moving to or aspiring to move to China
– Dating a Chinese person

What DOESN'T Make You A Sinophile:
– Hating on China and being sinophobic (obvious)
– Dedicate your life to China & Chinese people (to the point where you can't live without them)

– Strictly dating only Chinese people (see: asian fever)

"I'm a sinophile."
"Oh, what does that mean?"
"I like everything Chinese"
"Cool !! So do i !!"

penophile

a person who collects pens. Need not be fancy pens and includes those who inadvertantly picks up other person's pens and forgets to return them. Generally has a stash of a wide variety of types of pens in drawers, coffee mugs and the bottom of the washer.

Andrew, being a penophile, adroitly picked up the server's pen, signed his check, then pocketed the pen to add to his collection.

xenophile

n. A person who is especially interested in foreign cultures, languages, and people. This usually develops through education and research about the varied accomplishments--artistic, linguistic, political, martial, architectural--of cultures not their own. Unlike such specimens as the Wapanese or the rice queen, xenophiles are not motivated by jungle fever, yellow fever or spice fever. Of course, xenophiles often display some romantic appreciation for the denizens of the culture/s in which they are interested.
An Orientalist may be a xenophile, though not all xenophiles are Orientalists. Xenophiles are often polyglotts and learn different languages and writing systems. A xenophile is the opposite of a xenophobe.

Much to their chagrin, xenophiles are commonly asked such questions as "What do you see in (insert name of country)?" or "Why do you like ________ people so much?"

Being extremely old, full and varied, the cultures of India and China are popular among xenophiles.
