The origin of the phrase "Pardon my French" because of its odd sounding pronounciation. Phoque-prounced Fhawk, means seal in French. The pronounciation sounds like a similar word used by today's kids and therefore when asking for forgiveness after a bad word is said, the statement "Pardon my French" can be used to alleviate the tension.

Man: "Phoque you"
Girl "How dare you?"
Man: "Ooops, pardon my French. I meant seal."

Phuque

pronounced fook, this is a swear word approximately 8 times worse than the f-word. It is rumored that it is illegal in 3 countries yet this cannot be confirmed. It can also be an endearing term and its sign is a hooked finger.

prequel

A contamination i.e. a failed portmanteau. Comes from "pre"+"sequel" of which the latter in turn comes from Latin, "sequela"; "what follows". Therefore it is a non-word à la new/memespeak, as "quel" does not mean anything in any known language and thus "pre"+"quel" means nothing either.

Melvin: "Have you seen the prequel to »The Hangover»?"
Bob: "Have I seen what to WHAT?"
