Where this would normally be enough for a child, children with piydis become mentally and physically dependent on pie to survive. There have been numerous reports all over the world, concentrated mainly in the United States, where unique piydis symptoms have surfaced including piydis applis, piydis blueberris, and in some extreme cases piydis pecanis.
