The slang "Nutella" comes, of course, from the renowned brand of hazelnut cream known in many countries around the world, probably because it is a very popular product among the youngsters of the middle / upper class. Therefore, "Nutella generation" is used to make fun of and refer to children and teenagers who have grown up in technology, to the modern / gourmet generation; to the so-called "fresh". On the other hand, the "roots generation" is the example to be exalted, it is the right way to be or do something. It's the old or traditional way of doing something.

"Ugh - that Nutella thot is fugly and has 40 RTs on her picture just because people pity her!"
