Someone who performs an act/makes a statement that is a lie in an attempt at avoiding a situation that may be self detrimental but wholly for selfish reasons.

A mik can be the person performing the act or a word for the act itself. E.g. "He's such a mik" or "We just got mik'd"

The success of a mik is dependent on the obviousness of said mik plus whether or not the mik is gotten away with.

Normal person: "Hey man can you make me a cup of tea?"
Mik: "Nah man sorry I don't know how to make tea"

Normal person: "I'll text you later to arrange meeting up to pick up the goods"
