Lithromantic

A romantic orientation which falls on the aromantic spectrum. It is when you prefer it if person you have romantic feelings for does not reciprocate your feelings, and can lead to a feeling of discomfort if they do reciprocate your feelings. Due to some people feeling that this term appropriates an aspect of the lesbian community, some people prefer the term akoiromantic or apromantic, which mean the exact same thing.

Bill: “You like Chad?”
Alan: “Isn’t it obvious?”
Bill: “Well why don’t you ask him out then?”
Alan: “Lol no”
Bill: “Oh, are you lithromantic?”
Alan: “I prefer the term akoiromantic, but close enough.”

As I have heard it is someone who can have a sexual and or romantic attraction to someone but does not want those feelings returned. I have also heard it is on the Asexual spectrum.
