intertubulism

A figure of speech originating from within the internet, or intertubes, that is not easily translated or understood from outside the context of the intertubes.

Intertubulism carries a negative connotation for its derivation from intertubes, and its parent the series of tubes, itself a subject of folly and ridicule.

Adam: QFT!

Bob: What's that?

Adam: That's an intertubulism for a show of support, "quoted for truth."

The curious phenomenon where, those choosing to return for the Interterm break at college find themselves spending inordinate amounts of time with unhealthily few people, altering ones ability to determine hotness or general quality of being in another. See camp goggles.

Slang for the Internet, combining George Bush's "Internets" & Alaska Senator Ted Steven's description of the Internet as a series of "tubes".

A portmanteau of "intertwined" and "intermingled". Coined by Ted Nelson to describe computerdom and information, but can be used in any situation.

"Computerdom is an immense intertwingled tapestry."

"Man, my headphone cables are all intertwingled."
