Two people, a couple, who like each other, and enjoy each other's company, but are not dating, or in any relationship beyond, friendship.

Maria has a crush on Andre, Andre has a crush on Maria, but Maria and Andre aren't dating. They are just a hypothetical couple.

Hypothetical High Five

The act (or, indeed, thought) of giving a person a high five without any physical contact, as the two persons are usually across the room from each other and far too lazy to get off their asses. Often occurs after a minor success or simply to display ones awesomeness. The process will many times include nodding to further affirm their collective staggering amazingness.

Midfielders like Gundogan and Wijnaldum are miles clear. Once Jurgen Klopp said, "Give me Hypothetical Man and 10 sticks and I would win fuck all".
