Friend 1: The game got delayed again.
Friend 2: Dude, you totally just got CyberPunked!
Friend 1: I should've realized the release date was too good to be true.

A form of online humiliation, trickery, or just straight up disrespect, such as that done by Video Game designers releasing an unplayable game when they previously said it was very great and playable for certain devices.

Those PS4/Xbox One owners sure got Cyberpunked

When you delay something, typically a game, more than once.

Developer: We need more time finishing the game.
Publisher: Alright, we'll push the release date by 21 days.
Developer: 21 days isn't enough.
Publisher: If it isn't then we'll just have to do a CyberPunk.
