cannophobia

An irrational fear of cannabis that was mostly caused by traumatic memories which could be results of many years of prohibition. As an illegal drug, cannabis was closely related to shady characters selling all range of drugs, who considered "converting" cannabis users to harder drugs (i.e. amphetamine, cocaine) profitable.

This is also the source of "gateway theory", which states that smoking cannabis leads to harder drugs usage.

Someone: Dude, I tried everything! I showed my dad all the infographics, test results, detailed story of cannabis criminalization... How can he be so stubborn?!
Someone Else: Give up, mate, your dad is a total cannophobe. Now pass that joint...
Someone: He's a who?
Someone Else: He has a bad case of cannophobia. Will you pass it or not?

cinephobia

The fear of movies and the cinema. Sufferers of the phobia report being particularly afraid of the pictures moving "too fast" as the reel spins. The gum on the floor and chairs may also be a contributing factor, horrifying the victim.

Person 1: want to see Dreamcatcher?
Person 2: No, and not just because it's Dreamcatcher...I have cinephobia.

conaphobia

Fear of traffic cones. Its primary symptom is a tendency to drive more slowly than necessary where such cones are used on a roadway.

No lanes were actually blocked by the utility work, but traffic was still slow due to a few drivers' conaphobia.

Cetaphobia

Someone who fears of whales and the movie Free Willy.

This one time at the theaters we went to go see Free Willy and later this little kid was having cetaphobia everytime Free Willy shows up on the screen.

covophobia

The irrational fear of contracting COVID-19. Made out of fear to wear a mask, P.P. E. ALWAYS; even when not necessary. Symptoms include; wincing & shying away from people who cough; driving or walking outdoors with masks on; or just general paranoia over social contact; (generally, a hightened

germaphobia).

Living with a mask on all the time; taking unnecessary precausions to protect from the virus could be a sign that you have covophobia.
