Brownshirts 

Originally used to describe the original members of the Nazi Party who would wear brown uniforms to meetings and events before Hitler came to power.

Now used as a derogatory term for police, FBI or other law enforcement agents or anyone in authority.
Hide the stash man here come the brownshirts.

Nazi, especially a storm trooper (Schutzstaffel, or the SS), often noted for violence, aggression and brutality.
Some police officers behave like brownshirts and thugs.

Brownshirt 

Slang for a Nazi or fascist pig. Derived from the brown shirts worn by the Sturm Abteiling (SA). Brown was the color of the Nazi party in the 20's and 30's, much as red and blue are respectively associated with the Republican and Democratic parties in the US now.

Side note - the Schutzstaffel (SS) primarily wore black uniforms.
Nazi: "I love Hitler. Mexicans suck."
Punk: "Fuckin' brownshirts. Let's bust some heads."
Mexican: "Hell yeah."

Employees of the Tax Credits Office of Her Majesty's Revenue & Customs (HMRC). Derived both from their role as enforcers for Gordon Brown, and their enthusiastic embracing of Social Justice & Human Rights values not seen since the fall of Nazi Germany.
