A person mostly a snobby ass person like who spends crazy amounts of money on Stereo equipment speakers or peripherals. These types of people talk down on your equipment and compare or theirs because more than likely theirs sounds better than yours!

Laurence: hey bro man those speakers are $100,000 expensive

Paul: That stuff isn’t for me it’s for snobby audiophile people who have nothing better to do with their money.

Audiophile

Someone who is obsessive about audio quality. This includes audio formats, audio equipment, and ripping processes/programs (I.E. Exact Audio Copy). Audiophile's usually have "trained" ears and are able to distinguish the difference between high quality and bad quality music encoding/components through blind testing.

Person: "Hey will you load this CD on to my computer for me while I go grab something to eat?"

Audiophile: "Sure. Do you want it compressed or lossless?"

Person: "What?"

Audiophile: "What format do you want? ALAC, AIFF, VBR, CBR, AAC, OGG, WMA, WAV?"

Person: "Uhhh..."

Audiophile: "I'll go ahead and rip the CD to FLAC level 8, and you can convert it with dBpoweramp to whatever you want later."

Person: "....kay."

An Asiophile is a person who is fond of Asian culture, society, history or food. In a sexual context, it is a non-Asian person who exoticises or prefers Asians (typically East Asians). In other words, an Asiophile has yellow fever.

A white guy once messaged me on Grindr, and the first thing he said, "I like you. I only like Asians." Ugh. Total Asiophile!
