Atheism is a non-prophet organization.

Rejection of the belief in dieties. Does not assert that there are no dieties and thus does not carry the burden of proof.
Theist: Atheists need proof, so they have to prove that god doesn't exist.
Atheist: Atheism doesn't involve making a claim, I don't have to prove anything.

A rejection of the belief in the existence of a God or Gods. Atheism itself is not a religion or a belief, but is accepted within some religious and spiritual belief systems, including Jainism, Buddhism, Hinduism, Neo-pagan and Wicca. Although some atheists are also anti-theists, who oppose organized religion others are merely indifferent. In spite of some people generalizing atheists as being immoral, they tend to have a lower crime rate and as a population are no less moral than theists.
Scientists and highly rational people tend to subscribe to atheism because they believe in Occam's Razor:
"A principle urging one to select among competing hypotheses that which makes the fewest assumptions and thereby offers the simplest explanation of the effect".

A lack of belief or faith in the existence of a god or gods, especcially, a belief that there is no god. Atheism is a belief which is often insulted unjustly by its opponents. Atheists are also often called Satanists by Christian fundamentalists who do not understand the beliefs of Satanism. Believers in atheism have been blamed for events such as the 9/11 suicide attacks on the "Twin Towers" in New York, New York, United States of America by such people as Jerry Falwell and Pat Robertson.

Anti-religious philosophy that can be divided into two primary factions:
1. Healthy Atheists. These people simply don't follow any particular religious faith and generally don't concern themselves with attempting to prove to the religious that nonbelief is the way to go.
2. Militant Atheists. These are the guys that take Atheism and turn it into a zealous religion that is focused almost entirely on defaming, badmouthing, and attempting to disprove most or all religious faiths, although in many cases the individual Militant Atheist will focus only on one particular religion to direct their stream of hate at. They appear to be roughly as populous as fundamentalist Christians are on the Internet, and it appears that these two groups imagine themselves to be in mortal combat with one another, judging by some of the crap found on their sites.

Many Atheists don't appear to disbelieve in God so much as they appear to wish agonizing death upon Him and His followers.
