British origin. A form of street fight-trap. One person will instigate a fight with another person or a small group, and run off to the nearest alley. The instigator will have numerous friends awaiting the lured person to enter the alley, proceeding to beat him up with ease due to outnumbering. Famously used by Pakistani and Somali youth gangs in Birmingham, UK
"Oi, mate - gizz me some of dat beer and I'm finna tell ya what happened the other day near the Manc pub"
"O ye, wat was date, mate?"
"Some waki pakis got their little bruva to lure a chav into their alley, and Birmingham trapped 'im innit"

Provoking an innocent pedestrian by picking a fight, then running off to the nearest alley where all your friends are waiting, resulting in the pedestrian getting beat up

Occurs when, typically a guy, is attractive enough to think he should be with someone hot, but is not attractive enough to actually be with them. Basically they are cute, but not hot. Because of this, people in the cute trap typically date far less than people who are more or less attractive them.
