When coaching a little league baseball team, the team forgets everything they were taught in practice. Other team running around the bases while your team falls to pieces like clowns in a circus and parents going wild like a three ring circus.

Team. You guys look ridiculous out there last inning. This is baseball, not clown school tryouts. Now get you heads out of your asses and PLAY BALL.

"Acting the fool" or "telling someone off." Making your displeasure known loudly, because someone didn't (for example) pay you what he or she promised.

Maggie know good and well she shouldn't have been clowning and acting the fool at that public library.
