Victim Framing

Victim framing means using your status as a minority or member of an oppressed group to represent your opinion as the only valid opinion, and claiming you are the victim of differing opinions. While their opinions are very valid and need to be heard, representing them in this way essentially locks people out of the conversation who want to contribute because they feel they can't voice their differing opinions/concerns without offending the minority

As a person of colour, Margo used victim framing to dominate the conversation about the future of funding public housing and quell dissenting opinions

Victim Cap

A metaphorical cap belonging to those who tend to find themselves easily offended. They are known to pull "cards"(race card, sex card, gay card, etc.) in defense during arguments. They are self-victimizing people usually upset over social issues they relate to or for being labeled somehow; whether or not the intended purpose of their "attackers" was initially to offend or not. Many times, the latter. Also committed by overly privileged, self-entitled losers who genuinely believe they deserve more with little to no effort to show for it.

Dude 1: Dude! Stacy's pulling the feminism card...AGAIN!
Dude 2: Yeah, dude! She has her fucking victim cap super-glued onto her fucking head!
Dude 1: I know dude, that shit's so fucking annoying.

Perpetual Victim

A person who is constantly facing some sort of hardship or traumatic experience whether true, self-inflicted or completely false. Typically a person is a perpetual victim for the sake of evoking sympathy from others or being the constant center of attention. These hardships are usually extreme and can be (but are not limited to) life-threatening sicknesses, family sicknesses, deaths, natural disasters, having to pay companies for products, IRS auditing, relationship problems, not being able to make money off of Games Workshop’s intellectual property, etc.

We used to believe Eric’s problems were legitimate, then I started keeping track & realized he’s never happy with Games Workshop or their products. He never actually pays Games Workshop for anything, instead using re-casters, 3D printers, and pirating many of their books. Now he thinks he’s a victim since the company is trying to restrict these activities.

Typical perpetual victim.
