Zoukini

Someone who dances Brazilian Zouk. Finding one is like finding a shiny Pokémon, they’re just so rare. Salsa and Bachata heads often mock “Zoukinis” as being part of an alternative culture, but they might just be jealous. The origin of the term, “Zoukini”, is often debated in Zouk Nerd Facebook groups, but some speculate that a Zoukini in Michigan coined the term in 2024 (RIP Jimmy Carter).

Oh my lord, is that a Zoukini?! In the wild?!? I must be dreaming, I’ve never seen a Zoukini at a Salsa social before.
