What I'm doing right now

I'm supposed to be putting together a trifold board for a major project that's worth like half my grade, but instead I'm on here making this entry. I haven't even started the board, and it's due tomorrow! Procrastination is key.

Procrastination

Procrastination is when you are healthy mentaly, physically, and emotionally. Have motivation and will power, and are perfectly capable to get your task done. But don't feel like you have to.

I.e. you have an exam or big test in two weeks, you could study for most of that time but don't because the test is two weeks away. So you put of studying until the night before or two days before. Procrastination

The Procrastination Guild

A series of Google Groups and Forums started way back in 2005. They currently reside at http://procrastination.ipbfree.com/ , although the forum is largely dead, do to a move from a different forum hoster that didn't go over well.

6 Degrees of Procrastination

the idea that every task you put off doing is on average approximately six steps away from any other task you need to do, so that a chain of, "I didn't take out the trash so I can't clean out the fridge" statements can be made, on average, to connect any two tasks in six steps or fewer.

guy: I didn't take the trash to the street so I can't take out the trash from inside so I can't clean out the fridge so I can't go to the grocery store so I can't cook dinner tonight so I can't invite you over.

moral procrastination

Doing interesting stuff that feels like you're making the world better in preference to doing the easy, boring, daily stuff that actually makes a difference.

You're so busy signing petitions on Avaaz that you forgot your mum's birthday. That's moral procrastination.
