An underemployed or unemployed man who refuses to help his partner with the expenses. The Love Sponge thinks that he should get half of everything that he hasn't earned. While his wife works 2 jobs. Soon the love is gone and all you have left is the Bubba Sponge

Bubba the Love Sponge only works about 3 hours per week, while his girl works all week and then works the weekend too.

Baby Bubba

Informal, friendly generic word used in place of a proper name like Buddy. Bubba as "Brother" is used especially by Southerners, Westerners and Black Americans (and small kids who can't say "brother") as a friendly or familial term thus Baby Bubba is the same only more so. Doesn't have the possible misunderstanding of disrespect of Bubba by someone who looks down on southerners.
