Sometimes this is done as a substitute for *actual* tripping, although more often than not, it's the combination of the two that produces the wildest experience.

A variation of the popular tripping balls When a person is tripping dicks, he or she is having the craziest trip ever. Tripping Dicks usually only occurs in the movies. Characters will often smoke half a joint and immediately have an impossibly crazy drug trip.

"Oh man, where'd you go at the party last night? I was looking all over for you."
"Man, we smoked some PCP and did some acid. I was tripping dicks! I thought my arm was lost in another dimension and got replaced with legos!"
