Slow walker 

Someone who holds up the traffic in a hallway (especially in high school) because they are walking slower than everyone else. Studies have proven that slow walking is the cause of more than 75% of hallway fights.

A slow walker is the equivalent of someone who does 30 MPH in the left lane in a 35 MPH zone.

A person who acts in order to conform to a stereotype.

1) You're only drinking chai because you think it's edgy... and because you're a talk-walker.

2) You talk-walker. As if learning Telegu had a purpose BESIDES making you look sophisticated.

Ocean Walker Effect 

When a person says they enjoyed something (most often a film or piece of art) just so they won't look stupid for not understanding it, they are suffering from the Ocean Walker Effect.

Named after an Arrested Development eposode (the ocean walker), with the line "People are going to say 'what the hell just happened?' and I'd better say I like it because nobody wants to seem stupid!"

Person 1: "I loved the movie A.I with Haley Joel Osment. It was such a moving and meaningfull movie."

Person 2: "You didn't love that move, you liar. You just didn't understand it and want to look smart. It's the Ocean Walker Effect."
