Pro-Semitism:
1. An ideology which claims that Jewish people supposedly embody traits anti-semites have historically accused them of, but that these traits are actually positive and that Jews should be praised for embodying them, rather than criticized or discriminated against. Usually this ideology mixes Anti-Semitic overtones into its praise for Jewish people. Occasionally this Pro-Semitism even leads directly toward some forms of discrimination or prejudice against Jews.
2. The (entirely unrelated) ideology that Jews and non-Jews are equal and that both Jews throughout the world and in Israel have a right to exist in harmony with their neighbors and in harmony and peace with everyone throughout the world, and that Israel has a right to exist in peace and harmony with its neighbors as well.
