An event so disgusting, that you can physically feel your liver producing bile, in anticipation of needing to vomit.

When I was growing up this was a popular phrase in my neighborhood which actually had dual meanings. The first was to annoy or bother someone deliberately, for example, sibling interactions. The second definition was to be physically shaken up. It can also be modified in various ways to suit the situation including jar, jarring, or jarred.
Child: Johnny took my action figure!
Mother: John! Stop jarring his liver!
Friend 1: Do you want to go on the roller coaster?
Friend 2: No thanks, that ride really jars my liver.

When someone is very drunk or high, or otherwise affected in a way that makes them excitable or inebriated
"where's John?"
"Oh he won't be here, he was on the orphan livers again last night"
"And he didn't share?"
