holiday orphan 

A holiday orphan is someone who is forced to spend a holiday alone because they have no immediate family living in the same city or state where they live.

I am a holiday orphan forced to spend this Thanksgiving and Christmas alone because I live in North Carolina all of my family resides back in Wisconsin.
