angels and airwaves

Angels and airwaves is a band that was founded by rock artist Tom Delonge best know as the guitarist/vocalist for bands Blink 182 and Boxcar Racer. The band started recording on there debut album "we don't need to whisper" in early 2005 and released it in may of 2006. The band is currently working on there sophomore album "I-Empire" which is expected to be out fall of 2007. The sound of the music is a new sound with many sound effects and tools but at the same time still shows a hint of delonge's old alternative catchy ways.

Andersonian Hero

A fictional character who exhibits the qualities found in the heroes of Wes Anderson movies. Much like the Byronic Hero, the Andersonian Hero is a person of impressive personal talent. The Hero's personal magnetism draws others into his orbit, and he convinces them to join him in his schemes. At some point during the story, the Hero's arrogance, impetuousness and propensity for lying lead to serious consequences for everyone involved, and he finds himself abandoned and alone. By the end of the movie, however, the Hero has redeemed himself and the other characters come to accept him as a flawed, but still inspiring individual.

The list of Andersonian Heroes includes Royal Tenenbaum, Steve Zissou, Mr. Fox and Max Fischer.

At the end of "Fantastic Mr. Fox," Mrs. Fox encapsulates what it means to be an Andersonian Hero:

Mrs. Fox: You know, you really are... fantastic.
Mr. Fox: I try.

Guardian Angels

A non-profit public safety and crime prevention organization founted in 1979 in the Bronx to combat crime on the subways and has spread throughout the world. They conduct safety patrols in cooperation with local law enforcement. They are distiguished by their red berets and white t-shirts or red jackets with an emblem which has wings and a watchful eye. They do not carry any weapon but are extensively trained in martial arts and self defense.
