Foundation Hospitals 

Foundation Hospitals are hospitals that are run by charitable trusts. Doctors in these hospitals enjoy excellent pay and working conditions, usually not having to work lengthy hours as much of their work is carried out by volunteers.

The hospitals treat not only human patients, but animals also, and the King Cardiff IV foundation hospital in Wales is known for pioneering work in allowing former Welsh miners to carry out brain surgery on horses. The foundation hospital in Bath, England is well known for its exceptional treatment of patients, who have access to an extensive collection of magazines and television channels, with particular favourites of the patients being monkey porn.

When I was in former Soviet Georgia, I was subjected to aggressive hospitality at a feast. I remember it vaguely, but it is the best vague memory I have ever had.

1) Someone who didn't want to be a primary care doctor but found out a little too late they weren't cut out to specialize in anything, not even Family Medicine, and now complains to anyone naive enough to listen about every single patient admission like the world is ending.
2) Someone with such an inferiority complex, she or he feels the constant need to demonstrate his or her knowledge by reciting arcane questions at medical students and residents about things read on UpToDate that same morning just prior to the endless ritual known as rounds.

"So I called the hospitalist to admit my chest pain patient who required CPR and defibrillation in the field, but the hospitalist wants me to discharge her home now because her HEART score is only 3 and she has a pulse."
