Gronk was the name of a caveman character in the sixties TV show "It's About Time". Gronk carried a club and his wife was called Shag. His character was a "very dumb caveman" neanderthal type. The actor was Joe Ross. The show ran for a couple of seasons. It portrayed spacemen who travelled in time.
