Bite the silver bullet

1) To have to to 'bite the bullet' and pay a large amount of money just to hang out with wealthier people.

2) To pay an exorbitant amount of money for a seemingly superfluous or luxury item due to social pressure.

3) To spend too much money on something because of the expectations of others.
Ex. 1 — Dan and Sarah are getting married in fucking Napa where a hotel costs a billion dollars a night, guess we just have to bite the silver bullet.

Ex. 2 — Andrew wanted to go to the fanciest restaurant, order a steak and wine, and the split the bill evenly, but he's my boss so I had to bite the silver bullet.

Ex. 3 — The girl wanted to take a weekend flight to Paris for a mini-vacation, but she's so hot I just had to bite the silver bullet.
