In fact some of the Australian people who write some of the definitions that disparage their first people are Aboriginal people of somewhere. First people is the more appropriate term because as someone indicated sometimes the people who were wherever first came by boat eg Maoris in NZ. Look it up. NZ is literally new land formed by volcanic eruptions. Polynesian seafarers got there before anyone else. Who knows how who got where first.
