Melvined

To be scammed by someone who is clueless they're clueless.
Dr. Paul: "Hi Lori, you're looking a little upset this morning. Care to talk about it?" "Oh Dr. Paul...I don't know what to do...this guy Melvin... just cost me hundreds of dollars in service fees by lying to my credit card provider, telling them I never sent him his order. But I did...I really did. I had all my paperwork work proving I did, but the bank took his side regardless and won't pay me. I've been...oh....ahhhh...I've been Melvined"....

Melvin

The very definition of an awesome person. Someone who everyone looks up to, aspires to be, but knows they can almost never become. Handsome, charming, charismatic to a fault but people are most drawn to Melvin’s authenticity. Likeable, funny, a man’s man & a woman’s man.

Fiercely loyal and passionate lover.

Melvin

Melvin (Bunglish)
Bunglish Slang

Definition:
Melvin is a Bunglish slang term referring to the Erdleaf flower in Elden Ring, a key crafting ingredient used to create "Melvin Potions." These potions allow players to summon other players into their world for cooperative play. The term “Melvin” adds a casual, humorous flavor to otherwise straightforward in-game items and mechanics.

Origins:
The term emerged from Bunglish communities around 2023–2024, as players adapted official Elden Ring terminology into the dialect’s playful and irreverent style. Erdleaf flowers became “Melvins,” and the potions crafted from them took the same nickname, emphasizing Bunglish’s tendency to give formal game items humorous slang names.

Usage:

Refers both to the raw crafting material (Erdleaf flower) and to the consumable summoning potions.

Commonly used in cooperative play contexts when requesting or discussing multiplayer assistance.

Often paired with other Bunglish terms for humor: “Grab some Melvins before you go fight that Smelvin.”
Examples:

“Better stock up on Melvins, I’m gonna need backup.”
“Throw a Melvin Potion if you want me to help with that boss.”
“Can’t believe that Smelvin blocked the path again — Melvins saved my run.”

Cultural Notes:
Melvin represents how Bunglish humorously adapts serious gameplay elements into its absurd lexicon. It stands out because it refers to a useful, positive item rather than an insult, balancing the dialect’s mix of mocking and camaraderie.

Related Terms:

Smelvin – Rune Bear enemy.

Bradley – weak/unskilled player.

Villain – enemy or disliked player.

No Rick – no skill.

Baaby – cowardly or childish player.

Melvin

What you call someone that can't think for themselves and only cares about his own self. They often hit people for their own amusement and hurt other people, and apparently it's okay to do so if they're a Melvin. They're a bitch most of the time and whenever you stumble upon them you get the urge to beat the shit out of them, but it really isn't their fault since it's their personality to be a Melvin. They sound like a drunk cow trying to talk.
