A more nuanced take on ‘not here to fuck spiders’. A classic Australianism expressing that things of little consequence or excessive moderation are not worthy to be undertaken.

Further context, similar to ‘having bigger fish to fry’.

“Hey Ellis, last drinks just got called. Pint of pale and mezcal chaser?” says Toph.

Skateboarding is not a crime

The expression is NOT a reference to people critical of the subculture, nor was it EVER used as an excuse for any real crimes committed by people on skateboards. It was responding to the growing numbers of towns in the 90s ban skateboarding in public, despite the number of people who rode bikes, roller blades, and, oh yeah, drove CARS just as unsafely as skaters skateboard.

Skateboarding is not a crime, so take the stick out of your ass.

I'm not your friend buddy is an internet phenomenon that was inspired by an episode of "South Park". Usually occuring on message boards, the first person says "I'm not your friend buddy" and the next person will use the use the last word in the first comment as the first word in their comment, and will switch the their last word with either "pal", or "guy".

-I'm not your friend, buddy
-I'm not your buddy, pal
-I'm not your pal, guy
-I'm not your guy, friend
-I'm not your friend, pal
-I'm not your pal, buddy
Etc.
