Refers to Manhattan's "LOWER EAST SIDE"- A neighborhood in lower Manhattan that is overridden with hipsters, yupsters, and trustafarians. What used to be a somewhat dangerous and sketchy area of Manhattan is now being gentrified by white kids.
This area requires a ridiculous amount of rent for a shitty apartment. The yupsters prefer living in The Blue and other high rise condos.
If you live here, Ludlow is your main street, Whole Foods on Bowery is your grocery store, and you have beef with the hipsterkids in Williamsburg- unless you are dating one, which since a bridge is involved, is considered a "Long Distance Relationship" anyway, so you don't have to worry about hooking up with some one at Happy Endings or whatever the next MisShapes DJ set is.

Get the L.B.S. mug.(n) L.O.S. is an African-American street gang originating form Monticello, NY. It stands for the "Lynched-Out Soldiers", but was originally "Loced-out Soldiers" (see definition for Loc). They affiliate themselves with the Crips street gangs and the Folk Street Gang Nation (which includes the Black Gangster Disciples)
They wear black and blue as specific gang colors, and are know to wear black or blue bandanas, either on their head, or hanging out of their left-back pockets. They also wear Black and White colored beads with a pendant that has "LOS" inscribed on it. They also wear blue or black colored caps, which are twisted towards the left side of their heads.
Most members are African-American, however there are a few Hispanics.
They are allied with M.M.G., another street gang found in Upstate New York. Because of this, they may or may not wear green bandanas with dollar bills plastered on it (as M.M.G. members do)
