A verb or adjective derived from the most common and vulgar African American racial epithet. Gering refers to both the engagement in and personification of sterotypical behavior, posture, language, actions, and overall attitude commonly displayed by African Americans immersed in inner city African American popular and/or hip hop culture. This phenomenon is commonly found in night clubs, American football and basketball venues, and on the streets. Anyone from any race, sex, or religious background is capable of gering.

Yo man, did you see how those football players were gering after that interception? Yeah man, they were gering almost as hard as RayRay and DeQuan! Dude, those guys are such gers!

Someone with the intentions of getting other people. Doesn't necessarily care for the feelings of those who don't truly care for them. Needs positive attention and has a special way of getting it. Mostly used for girls that use inside connections as a source for information used as revenge against backstabbers.
