Mansplain

When a male tries to explain something to a woman, and thinks he as to dumb down the explanation, especially when she is at the same level of knowledge, or has more, than her male counterpart.

Man 1: Did you see that Hail Mary during yesterday's football game?!
Man 2: Yeah, it was awesome!

Woman: Seriously, it was gre-
Man 2: Before you say anything else, what we mean by a Hail Mary is when the quarterback made a last ditch through down the field to a different player who caught it.

Woman: You don't need to cut me off to mansplain what a Hail Mary is. I've been watching football since I was in diapers.

Fansplain

Being corrected by a fan about the source of their fandom. Like the term,"mansplain," but can be used with either gender as long as they proceed with a boring, officious correction of something you said.

Example: "Misty fansplained to Brock that his information about water-type Pokemon was wrong."

When a man, usually an Unlucky Jeff, or who is Nelsonized, who is confident, over educated, and uses a condescending tone to explain something to a intellectually superior women, usually a Jennifer, who already knows the answer

Jeff loved mansplaining to Jennifer on how interact with clients, when she already arranged 3 successful meetings that week.

Mansplaining is when a dumbass who doesn't actually himself understand something tries to trick other people who are actually smarter than them into believing he knows what the fuck he is talking about. Often done in an overbearing and/or chauvinistic way.

Dude, is Kyle seriously mansplaining to us about how the internet works? Isn't he still on dial-up?

Mansplain

When a man tries to explain something to a woman in a way that belittles them solely for their gender, assuming all women are incompetent. Author and activist Rebecca Solnit is credited with creation of the term.
