Distraction Dick

When a woman recognizes she's obsessing and analyzing about a new guy too much, she goes on other dates to occupy her mind.

Jane told me she can't stop thinking about that bearded lumberjack, with the house on the lake she had coffee with. She's rereading texts, googling his name, stalking on Facebook, you name it! Realizing she's entering psycho mode, she's been right-swiping on Tinder day and night to line up Distraction Dick to keep herself sane.

Distractionship

A romantic relationship, often short in nature, engaged in by one or both parties as a means of distracting one from ones own life content be that the positive or negative aspects, for example their goals, or success, or issues, or problems, or projects etc.

As a distraction to the individuals personal life, it is often short lived and half-arsed, lacking the drive and attention needed to sustain a meaningful relationship.

"Hey Edward hows things been going? Gotten up to much since I saw you last?"

"Well I just finished a distractionship last month that I was in to avoid working on my novel because I'm afraid of my own success. Other than that, not much."

distrawt

How you feel from experiencing a deeply-upsetting event regarding dried grass-stalks, such as getting prickly bits all through your clothing after playfully rolling in it, being bombarded by loose swirling clouds of it during a windstorm, having to rake/sweep up mountains of it during your farm-chores, etc.

A classic example of being "distrawt" is if you've been secretly rendezvousing with a cute farmer's daughter, and her "paw" catches you two having a gleeful bouncy-bouncy in da barn-loft.
