Blanched

A slang term used in electoral politics when an incumbent officeholder loses their seat by a large margin. The word is named after Blanche Lincoln, a Former United States Senator from Arkansas who served two terms before losing re-election by a 21-point-margin in 2010.

"Did you see the election results in the Alabama Senate Race last night?"

"Yeah dude, Senator Doug Jones got absolutely Blanched! He didn't even get 40 percent of the vote!"
