A word that was first introduced in Eminem's 2000 song, 'Stan'. It follows a delusional fanatic named Stanley Mitchell, or simply, Stan, and his pregnant wife. He does crazy things to get Slim Shady's attention. And constantly writes him letters, and saying things like "P. S. We should be together to". When Slim still didn't respond to his letters due to him being busy, Stan went crazy. And tied up his wife, put her in the back of his car, and drive them both off a bridge, hoping it would upset Slim and make him regret for not responding sooner.

If you haven't get it by now, a stan is basically a crazy fan who would do anything to get his/her favourite celebrity attention. And would stalk them. And most likely will be after people who has other opinions on their idol.

I stan for Eminem. He's my favourite artist. I will do anything for him.
