reset sex

Single sexual act that takes place as an attempt to stop a partner from leaving a relationship due to lack of sex. It usually takes place in a dead bedroom relationship where sexual relations between a couple has become rare occurrence. The high-libido partner, who is disappointed about the lack of sex, starts taking actions to exit the relationship. The low-libido partner, who is generally satisfied with the lack of sex, does not want to end the relationship and decides to have sex with the high-libido partner to prevent that from happen. The low-libido partner believe that this single sexual act is enough to reset the clock and stop the partner from leaving. The reset sex is a temporary fix to a relationship dying due the lack of sex.

I would have left the relationship a long-time ago if it hadn't been for the reset sex.
