adam's letter

a play written by John Cosper about an unpopular boy commiting suicide. The boy, Adam Krieger, leaves his suicide letter in the form of a website, naming various people at his school and blaming most of them for his pain. The website inspires one student to try and change how people see each other so a tragedy like Adam's won't happen again.
There is no such person as Adam, nor is the author aware of this sort of story ever happening in real life. And no, Adam Krieger was not the inspiration for Blink 182's song "Adam's Song," or vice versa. Any resemblance between the characters, places, and events to any real people is purely coincidental.

the scarlet letter

A famous book written by Nathaniel Hawthorne that deals with Puritan beliefs. The main character is a woman named Hester who has a baby, is accused of adultry, and is forced to wear a red letter, "A" on her clothes, so everyone in the town knows she's a skank. Highschoolers are forced to read this book. Only God knows why. At first, the book seams alright. The plot seams interesting enough, because it deals with sex and suspence, but when you start reading it you have to keep your eyes open with clothes pins to avoid falling asleep. Also known as, the most overrated and dissapointing book of all time.

I thought that reading The Scarlet Letter would be interesting, but once I actually started reading the book it made me want to gauge my eyes out with a spork and smear my eyeball blood all over Nathaniel Hawthorne. What the hell was my english teacher smoking when he read this book and thought it was a masterpiece?

Chain Letter

Either seen as a death threat, list, or something random to scare or "reward" people, a chain letter is something that many idiots believe in. It is an epidemic on Youtube and Myspace. Usually, middle schoolers and people without friends forward these, but these letters are annoying as hell generally. If it's not a death threat, it says that it will tell you that if you forward it, that you'll have yourself a boyfriend/girlfriend on Friday.

Person 1: Hey! I just reposted this chain letter on Myspace saying that she'll finaly be mine on Friday!
Person 2: Shut up! Myspace isn't going to decide that for you. Grow some balls now.

the coldest, most impersonable way to get denied from the college of your dreams. ironically, a few days after you see that those fuckers denied you virtually, you get a letter that denies you all over again.
