firehouse squirrel

A person that lives at multiple firehouse in an effort to actually make it above the poverty line in the EMS world. Normally they are EMTs, but paramedics and firefighters have been know to adapt this behavior in lower paying arenas.

Also; when a rival fire company takes a call out of district. The would not be dispatched on the initial call, but would mysteriously appear as "the closest unit." When confronted; the normal response is: " well, we gotta eat, too!"

Damn firehouse squirrels.

C15 totally squirreled that call.

Firehouse Dozen(donuts)

A firehouse dozen is what you ask for at Dunkin Donuts to let the employee know to include a minimal of 3 or more Boston Kreme’s within the dozen to prevent people from fighting over the gem of all donuts. Also many Dunkin locations will add additional jelly’s as well.

Yo Carl, you better not be eating the Boston Kreme!!! I will fight you!

"firehose" remark-reaction

Refers to the involuntary "geyser" of liquid/slurry that one produces when something funny/shocking is spoken in his presence while he's eating/drinking something, said utterance causes an "automatic" or "uncontrollable-on-short-notice" lung- expulsion from a laugh or cough, which in turn causes a forceful ejection of the mouth's contents which shoots out for several feet and disgustingly messes up anything (or anyONE) in its path.

A classic example of a "firehose" remark-reaction is when Jimmy Culp does an astonished "sploooot!" when he hears his name mentioned by Robert Stack on the Tonight Show immediately after taking a deep swig of beer.
