Austrians normally use it to say somebody is stupid (Boah is de deppad! = She is so stupid!). But most commonly, we use it as a way to express your negative thoughts on something somebody did.
Person 1: "De Ingrid hod für de Schularbeit überhaupt nix glearnt und hod an fünfa gschriem!" (Ingrid had not studied for the test at all and got a F on it!"
