ok so why do people bash so called "scene kids" i mean. just because you prefer to shop at hot topic, and you like to stand out doesn't mean shit. why arent people freaking out on all the "abercrombie whores" and "hollister sluts" ?? they ALL look the same, and they're... well... mostly ugly. come on. sperrys??? ugh... because: scene kids are not "socially acceptable" fuck that. who wants to be normal anyway? ok... theres so many definitions of scene kids. so heres a definition of the two types i mentioned at the beggining:
-they wear sperrys
-or crocs
-or some other form of ugly ass brown or tan shoes
-the ALWAYS wear flared jeans, with pre-made rips,(heaven forbid, i accidentally rip my own pants)
-they wear those retarded shirts with the fish on them, even tho none of the chicks have EVER been fishing. except maybe once with daddy
-only shops at hollister, abercrombie, or aeropostale
-bashes scene kids on myspace (tho they secretly WISH they looked HALF that good)
-drives big trucks
-drinks budweiser
-has parties at the 'dirt pit' oh so exciting

A style that is not only limited to dress and music but also a whole new load of slang phrases such as " the sex" and "rocks my socks" which become increasingly irritating the more you hear them, and also make said "scene kids" seem to have even less of a personality than members of other clicks as they have the exact same mannerisms aswell as looking the same
Evolved from the whole "emo" culture, but unlike emo which was orginally a relatively small tribe of whiny teenagers, scene kids are everywhere and have infected the whole of britain.

Those scene kids are multiplying daily

this is just speculation based on that the scene subculture must have existed before it became popular:

in the early 2000s people who went to raves to socialze stopped doing so because it came too violent/mainstream/whatever. they started to form around the indie/alternative/hardcore music they liked and being ravers that was not music especially palatable to musicians.

as such its similar to emo in that scensters are musically still young; but different in that scensters are quite a bit older.

what was at first a sign that you liked to socialize became elitist in that you were as cool as the number of bands you knew well/had slept with. hence there is a love/hate relationship with scensters and musicians.

the scene gives me nightmares

i knew some scensters in Manchester in the early 2000s. whatever happened to them?
