A word or phrase used to indicate to a familiar person that you have already answered the same question or order sent by a different familiar person

Mom: “Do the dishes, please.”
You: “Okay.”
Dad: “Can you do the dishes?”
You: “Pineapple.”

Pineapple here would be the familigate.

The "familiarity filter" refers to the phenomenon where children are more inclined to listen to strangers rather than their own parents, often due to filtering out familiar things that have always been there.

It's interesting how the familiarity filter works; my child pays more attention to advice from a teacher than from me, just because it feels new and different.

Facebook Familiarity

When you think you know someone, but then you realise you've just seen them on Facebook... sometimes via a friend or sometimes via Facebook Stalking.

Guy 1 "I'm sure I know that girl..."

Guy 2 "I think she's just Facebook Familiar"

...

Guy 1 "I said 'Hey' to this girl the other day, I was sure I knew her from somewhere... but she disagreed"
