going to the races

1. Going to the races means that you are in a really big hurry to get somewhere. Like you got the lead out, hit the gas, got a move on, put it into overdrive, sped up, etc...
Tina and I sat behind this guy who was texting on his phone at the stop light, the light turned green, and Tina yelled out the window to him that it doesn't get any greener! Then the dude was ballsy enough to flip her off after he finally gassed it like he was going to the races. What a jerk-wad! Tina was pissed.

Going to Wendy's

This phrase came about in our friendly local poker game here in Maryland.... One night, a couple guys said they were 'going to Wendy's'... but came back with no food -- REEKING of marijuana!!! Hence, when anyone goes out to get blazed, we call it 'going to Wendy's.....
'I'll be back in a few minutes'
'Dude, you going to Wendy's?'

Going to Arlington

Slang term for getting laid. In that male genitalia is often called the "Purple-helmeted warrior" and in that Arlington is home to the "Tomb of the Unknown Soldier", you goto Arlington to pay homage to that soldier, and bury him over and over again.
"Yeah. I went out with Lisa last night; ended up going to Arlington. Had fun."
