n.a believer in a deity in human form with human prejudices that monitors ones' life events and aspirations and can influence the outcome of events in that persons life depending on the intensity of the relationship with the deity determined by the compliance with edicts of society and the priesthood. Adherents include both monotheists and polytheists, the "Trinity" was invented to bridge these differences.

My theistic god, when I was younger, was Santa then along came the Tooth Fairy, that Grampa told me about. I stole gramps dentures from the glass beside his bed and left him 32 quarters, it doesn't get any better than that.

Anti-Theist

Someone who is anti religion. Separated from "Atheists" by their disapproval of religion as opposed to non-subscription to religion.

Anti-theists see atheists as fence sitters in a struggle between they whom view faith as virtuous and they whom see faith as the corruption of wilful ignorance.

One's way of denying only enough reality to accept evolution but maintain religious beliefs.

When they discovered that evolution was undeniable, religious people got scared, but said to themselves; "Maybe creation is just a metaphor. I know, I'll invent theistic evolution so I'll be able to accept evolution and still believe in my magic sky fairy!"
